+ Why do I need a website? Isn't a Facebook page enough?

In times like today, almost everything is going "virtual". That means it's even more important to have an online presence.

Think about where people go to find information about a particular service or product. The first place they go is online. While Facebook is a great place to drive traffic and sales, it limits creative freedom and visitors can become easily distracted.

The two biggest advantages of having a website is 1) it acts as a virtual storefront, automatically working for you all day and night 2) a well built site positions you as an expert in your industry/niche

+ What is the difference between web host and web domain?

A host is like land you own to build a house and the domain is the address. The website is your home. That means you need both a host and a domain to build a website.

+ Can I transfer a domain I already have over to Squarespace?

Yes!

+ Can I transfer a current website I have over to Squarespace?

We prefer to build sites from scratch. We can still use the content from your old site :)

+ How do I know which Squarespace plan to purchase?

+ Do you build on other platforms such as Wordpress?

We currently only offer Squarespace website builds.

+ What additional costs should I be aware of?

Custom content such as fonts and stock images. We'll always keep you in the loop before making these purchases on your behalf.

Even though we start with a Squarespace template, the site will look uniquely you. The template helps create the foundation and backbones of the design. However, we customize the template depending on your goals, design preferences, etc. We have an awesome team of developers that can create your specific customizations.

+ Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. After we have agreed on your custom quote, 50% is due on the project start date and 50% due at the completion of the project.

+ Will I be able to make website edits on my own?

Yes! At the completion of the project we provide 1 hour of training so you can make edits on your own.

+ Can I hire you to make website edits in the future? ongoing?

It will depend on the scope of your needs. If this is something you're interested in, we can discuss at the completion of the project.

+ What type of web pages can I add to my site?

Services, Home Page, Menu, Portfolio, Contact, About, etc.

+ What is basic SEO?

SEO is Search Engine Optimization. Squarespace has SEO tools that can be strategically used to help your website show up in search engines. To help understand SEO, say you go to Google and search for "web designer in oregon". Google will index websites and grab keywords that are most relevant to your search. For example, as a web designer...keywords we want to use on my site are "Squarespace" "website design" "graphic design" "web page" etc. That way we have a better chance of being found by search engines.
